Nutrition

What you eat is as important as what you do for exercise if not more so.  Exercise is only half the battle.  Watching what you eat is the other half of the battle.  And in my opinion, if you’re only going to do one of them, choose a better diet.  Eating a well-balanced diet with a lot of natural foods will do wonders toward helping you live longer, maintain a healthy weight, have better focus and clarity in thought, reduced cholesterol,  higher energy levels, etc.

We were all young once.  Remember those days of super high metabolism?  When we were playing sports and running a full day of classes we could pretty much eat what we wanted and it wouldn’t really catch up to us too bad.  But as we get older, our metabolism starts to slow down but our habits don’t change, and one day we wake up, take a look in the mirror, and we notice how years of bad habits have caught up to us.  Now it’s time to get EXTREME, so we restructure our diet, put a fitness plan together, and we set our sites toward reversing the trend.   How much easier would it have been if we’d maintained decent dietary habits and disciplines along the way?

If you’re going to choose between exercising and not eating healthy, or eating healthy and not exercising, do yourself a favor and choose to watch your diet.  Because when you do decide to start working out, because you know you SHOULD, you’ll have a lot more fun toning up and building lean muscle rather than having to shed 35 or 40 pounds!

Simple daily disciplines in nutrition will pay off in the long run.
